Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Welcome to Grubble.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Grubble website, applications, ordering pages, restaurant tools, point-of-sale features, delivery features and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using Grubble, creating an account, placing an order, or using Grubble on behalf of a restaurant or other business, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Grubble
Grubble provides technology that enables restaurants and other food businesses to manage menus, receive and process orders, accept payments, manage pickup and delivery, and communicate with their customers.
Grubble is a technology provider. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Grubble does not prepare, manufacture, sell or deliver the food and other products offered through the Services.
When a customer places an order, the restaurant or other food business identified on the ordering page ("Restaurant") is the business responsible for fulfilling that order.
2. Customer Orders
Customers may use Grubble to place orders directly with participating Restaurants.
The Restaurant is responsible for:
- the accuracy of its menu, prices and product descriptions;
- food preparation and quality;
- food safety and allergen information;
- determining whether an item is available;
- preparing orders correctly and on time;
- pickup and delivery of orders where applicable;
- compliance with applicable food-service laws and regulations; and
- resolving issues relating to the food or fulfilment of an order.
Grubble provides the technology used to transmit and manage the order but does not guarantee that a Restaurant will accept or fulfil an order.
3. Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Customers with allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements should contact the Restaurant directly before ordering.
Information displayed through Grubble is provided by or on behalf of the Restaurant. Grubble does not independently verify ingredients, preparation methods, allergen information or claims such as "gluten-free", "vegan", "halal" or similar descriptions.
Restaurants are responsible for providing accurate food and allergen information as required by applicable law.
4. Prices, Taxes and Fees
Restaurants generally determine their own menu prices.
Applicable taxes, delivery charges, tips and other fees will be displayed during the ordering process where applicable.
The total amount presented to the customer before the order is submitted represents the amount the customer is agreeing to pay, subject to any clearly disclosed adjustments permitted by the Services.
5. Payments
Payments made through Grubble may be processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe.
Where Grubble uses connected payment accounts, payments may be processed for the benefit of the Restaurant through that Restaurant's connected payment account.
By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable payment processor to process the transaction.
Grubble does not store complete payment card information where payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on the Restaurant's policies and whether preparation of the order has already begun.
Customers should contact the Restaurant regarding problems with an order, including missing items, incorrect items, food quality, cancellations or refund requests.
Where technically appropriate, Grubble may facilitate a refund or other transaction adjustment on behalf of a Restaurant.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
7. Pickup and Delivery
Restaurants may offer pickup, delivery or both.
Where delivery is provided by the Restaurant or by drivers engaged by the Restaurant, the Restaurant is responsible for the delivery service.
Estimated preparation and delivery times are estimates only. Actual times may vary because of order volume, traffic, weather, Restaurant operations and other circumstances.
8. Drivers
Grubble may provide technology that allows Restaurants to assign deliveries to drivers.
Unless Grubble expressly agrees otherwise in writing, drivers are not employees, contractors or agents of Grubble.
The Restaurant is responsible for determining its relationship with its drivers, including compensation, scheduling, supervision, insurance, licensing and compliance with applicable employment, tax and transportation laws.
Grubble does not guarantee work, earnings, delivery volume or compensation to drivers.
9. Restaurant Accounts
Restaurants using Grubble are responsible for maintaining accurate business information, including their:
- business name and contact information;
- menu and pricing;
- operating hours;
- tax settings;
- pickup and delivery settings;
- refund and cancellation practices; and
- payment information.
Restaurants must only use Grubble for lawful business purposes.
A Restaurant is responsible for activity performed through its account and for maintaining appropriate security over its login credentials and authorized users.
10. Restaurant Responsibilities
Restaurants are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licences, permits, registrations, insurance and approvals required to operate their business.
Restaurants remain solely responsible for their products and services and for complying with applicable laws relating to food preparation, food safety, employment, taxation, consumer protection and business operations.
Use of Grubble does not constitute certification, licensing or approval of a Restaurant by Grubble.
11. Restaurant Subscriptions and Fees
Certain Grubble features may require a paid subscription or other fee.
Pricing and the features included in a subscription will be shown when the Restaurant subscribes.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, recurring subscriptions continue until cancelled.
Restaurants may cancel their subscription in accordance with the cancellation options provided through their account. Cancellation stops future subscription renewals but does not ordinarily provide a refund for a subscription period that has already begun, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
Grubble may change subscription pricing or available features from time to time. Where required, reasonable notice will be provided before a pricing change applies to an existing recurring subscription.
12. Tips
Grubble may allow customers to leave tips for Restaurants, staff or delivery drivers.
The recipient and allocation of a tip will be displayed or determined according to the Restaurant's configuration.
Restaurants are responsible for distributing tips received through their account in accordance with applicable law.
13. Accounts and Security
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity occurring through your account.
You must notify Grubble promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
14. Acceptable Use
You must not use Grubble to:
- commit or facilitate unlawful activity;
- submit fraudulent orders or payments;
- interfere with or disrupt the Services;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers or systems;
- scrape, copy or systematically extract data except where expressly permitted;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- impersonate another person or business; or
- misuse promotions, refunds, payment disputes or other platform features.
Grubble may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, Restaurants, payment systems or the Services.
15. Intellectual Property
The Grubble name, branding, software, interface and other materials created by Grubble are owned by or licensed to Grubble and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Restaurants retain ownership of their own trademarks, logos, menu information, photographs and other content they provide.
Restaurants grant Grubble a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, display and process that content as reasonably necessary to provide and promote their Grubble ordering service.
16. Third-Party Services
Grubble may integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, mapping providers, printers, point-of-sale systems and other software or hardware.
Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Grubble is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services.
17. Service Availability
We aim to keep Grubble available and reliable, but uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed.
The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, internet outages, third-party service failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Grubble may modify, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Services.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Grubble is not responsible for losses arising from:
- the preparation, quality or safety of food supplied by a Restaurant;
- incorrect allergen or dietary information supplied by a Restaurant;
- a Restaurant's failure to accept or fulfil an order;
- delivery performed by a Restaurant or its drivers;
- acts or omissions of a Restaurant, driver or other third party; or
- circumstances outside Grubble's reasonable control.
Grubble remains responsible for obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
19. Privacy
Personal information collected through Grubble is handled in accordance with the Grubble Privacy Policy.
Restaurants may also receive customer information necessary to fulfil orders. Restaurants are responsible for their own handling of personal information once received and must comply with applicable privacy laws.
20. Electronic Communications
By using Grubble, you agree that transactional communications relating to your account or orders may be provided electronically, including by email, text message, push notification or through the Services.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable consent and anti-spam requirements.
21. Suspension and Termination
Grubble may suspend or terminate access to the Services where a user or Restaurant materially breaches these Terms, engages in fraudulent or unlawful activity, creates a security risk, fails to pay applicable fees, or uses the Services in a way that could materially harm Grubble or other users.
Users and Restaurants may stop using Grubble at any time, subject to outstanding payment or contractual obligations.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be published through Grubble with a revised "Last updated" date.
Where a change materially affects an existing paid service or where notice is required by law, additional notice may be provided.
Continued use of the Services after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the courts of Ontario, except where applicable consumer protection law gives a consumer the right to bring a proceeding elsewhere.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
